PUBG SubZero Lore Film
Full lore film produced for the PUBG SubZero campaign, a collaborative cinematic production between myself and the Cinematic Team at KRAFTON Global Creative Division.
ROCKET SEQUENCES
This piece combines a multi-software workflow using Cinema 4D, Houdini, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve, with final frames rendered in Octane Render via the RNDR Network. The project focused on delivering high-impact visuals through a blend of procedural effects, cinematic lighting, and polished compositing to support the narrative and tone of the SubZero campaign.
Overview
I was responsible for executing the launch, flyout, space, and crash site sequences, handling visual development, composition, and art direction to align with the film's narrative tone and cinematic language. My sequences were developed using a multi-software workflow including Cinema 4D, Houdini, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve, with select shots rendered in Octane Render via the RNDR Network. The remainder of the trailer was produced by the team in Seoul using Unreal Engine for real-time cinematic production. The extended version, which included the full-length rocket sequence, was trimmed in consideration of global events occurring at the time, with only a few selected and adjusted shots included in the released version.
A huge thank you to the talented team at Global Creative Division for bringing this project together, including Max Bowman, Dabinci Jung, Hyunho Yoon, and the entire Cinematic Team whose work on rigging, environment art, and animation made this collaboration possible.
